Karen Milley

Lead Pastor

Karen became our Lead Pastor in December 2016. Before coming to Crossfire, she pastored in Toronto for over 19 years. If you asked her what she thinks about Crossfire, she would say “There is no better bunch of Christ followers on this planet! And I am so grateful that I get to serve Jesus and build God’s Kingdom with them!” Karen is married to Dwayne and they have a beautiful daughter, Deepika. She loves her 80s music and you will often see her with a diet coke in her hand!

Beth Sweatman

Assistant Pastor

Beth is our Assistant Pastor, heading up the Kids Ministry. She studied Biblical Studies and Theology at Tyndale University. She has served in church her whole life, volunteering in many different areas and is passionate about building up the next generation in the Lord. In her spare time she loves learning French and spending time with her dog Toby.

Gary Empey

Spiritual Care Leader

Pastor Gary heads up our Pathway to Peace program (12 Steps) here at Crossfire. He also helps with pastoral care. Gary comes with over 30 years of pastoral experience in the Greater Toronto Area. When he is not at Crossfire, Gary leads Global University as the National Director and is a Global Worker for the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in Cuba. Gary has been married to Marylka for over 40 years and has two wonderful daughters and a fantastic son-in-law. Crossfire is so happy to have Gary as part of our team!

Gloria Baker

Serve Our City Director

Gloria will be leading Serve Our City and the community programs here at Crossfire. Gloria starting attending Crossfire in 2010. She started helping in the kitchen with meals and events, eventually becoming the lead and organizer of such meals and events. She has served 8 years on the board, participated in three missions trips to Ukraine and Cuba and is excited for this next season. She has 3 children and 6 grandchildren, loves to garden, paint and kayak.

John Hemingway & Adele Routliff

Deaf Crossfire Leaders

Husband and wife team, John Hemingway (Deaf) and Adele Routliff (hearing), co-lead Deaf Crossfire. John is a retired teacher who recently completed his course requirements for his Masters of Theological Studies (MTS) degree at the McMaster Divinity College. His hunger to know God began at the age of 19 and John’s desire is for us is to know God’s Word, His will, and His ways. Adele’s involvement with the Deaf community began with ‘mother, father deaf.’ She appreciates coming alongside people, engaging in honest relationships, and encouraging people to become all that they can be.

Russell Gordon

Worship Leader

Russell first came to Crossfire in 2011, and instantly found a connection with the passion and fire for worship. Since that first visit, he’s been a part of their worship team, growing as a follower of Christ and as a musician. In 2018, he became Crossfire’s Worship Leader! In 2021, Russell married Jeneve and together they lead worship on Sunday morning.  Outside of church, he enjoys composing, producing. and teaching music.

Michelle & Aaron Robin

Young Adults

Michelle joined Crossfire as an intern in 2015, and since then Crossfire has been her home church. Aaron joined Crossfire in 2023. Both Michelle and Aaron started volunteering with Crossfire’s Foodbank and are excited to lead the Young Adults program. Their favourite pastime is trying new coffee shops (for Michelle) or looking for the best burgers in Hamilton (for Aaron).

John & Joy Oyebisi

Young Families

John and Joy assist Pastor Beth with the Young Families ministry. They have been faithful members of Crossfire since coming to Canada in 2019 and are parents of 3 wonderful boys. John is a Team Lead at a manufacturing company and Joy is a Chemistry teacher/tutor. They both enjoy reading and learning new things.

Paul Hudgins

Media & Technical Director

Paul first started attending Crossfire in 2008. As Crossfire’s Media and Technical Director, he is multi-talented taking care of the sound system for Sunday services, along with providing crucial tech support in the office. Paul is married to Sammie, and they have a beautiful daughter named Mabel. He currently works as a Senior Automation & DevOps Engineer at one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. He enjoys 3D printing, playing Pokémon (the card game), and good coffee.

Sammie Hudgins

Website & Social Media Manager

Sammie was first introduced to Crossfire in 2011 by Paul Hudgins, Crossfire’s Media & Technical Director. Currently, she helps manage Crossfire’s social media pages and media during Sunday services. Paul and Sammie were married in June 2015 at Crossfire. They have a beautiful daughter together named Mabel, 1 dog, and 2 cats. She enjoys making crafts with her Cricut, working on her digital planner, and drinking iced matcha lattes.

Gary Bradshaw

Building Maintenance

Gary and Wendy have faithfully served Crossfire for 12 years and are still going strong. After retirement Gary spends his time overseeing the upkeep of our building, and performs a slew of other tasks. He truly is a jack of all trades. He is a die-hard Leaf’s fan, and if he were a special agent he would call himself “Agent Bug Eye”.
